How To Stage Your Newly Designed Bathroom For Instagram

Instagram is undoubtedly one of the best places to market yourself, your talents, or your business. If you just finished designing your bathroom, then why not show it off online?

The last place you probably saw yourself taking pictures and posting them on Instagram is your bathroom, but good design speaks for itself. With so many people logging into Instagram for inspiration, you can miss out on a serious opportunity to gain more followers if you don't take some high-quality pictures.

A newly designed bathroom isn't going to look picture-perfect unless it has enough accessories, but the trick to choosing accessories is to not go overboard.

To start out, if you just have a tub insert, then get a shower curtain but make sure to hang it higher than you normally would. Getting an extra-long shower curtain can make your room look larger and your ceilings look taller. If you have custom tile in your shower that you want to showcase, scoot the shower curtain to the side so that your Instagram readers can get a full glimpse at the tile work.

If you designed a custom bathroom vanity, then you will want to accessorize it, but not too much. Adding a vase of fresh flowers on the side of the sink along with some beautiful soap pumps will make it look like something out of a catalog. To add an extra touch for photos, consider taking a hand towel and draping it over the side of your bathroom vanity so that the scene looks lived-in.

Whether you have wallpaper on your walls or just a fresh coat of paint, don't forget to add some wall art. Before you pick just any type of wall art, really hone in on the overall vibe you are going for with your bathroom. For instance, if you want it to feel more farmhouse-style, then choosing art with farmhouse accents like raw wood may be the way to go. If, however, you want something more traditional, then choosing something like an oil painting may add the right vibe to the overall bathroom.

Once you have everything staged and ready to go, make sure that you shoot the photos in natural light and during the day. If you don't have a window in your bathroom, then consider renting some photography lighting to help create the illusion that there is more light in the room than there really is.
